A man was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting along Matthew’s Lane in Downtown Kingston on Wednesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Michael Barrett also known as ‘Bloods’ of a Dunkirk address in Kingston.
Reports are that the incident took place along the roadway of Lower Matthew’s Lane and Water Lane at about 4:30pm.
Michael was reportedly walking from a shop, shirtless when a car drove up and men armed with rifles alighted from the vehicle.
The shirtless man was shot multiple times in the head and died on the spot.
The gunmen then escaped in the waiting motorcar.
A quick response team made it to the crime scene and cordoned off the area.
No motive has yet been established for the shooting.
