A prison officer is now being investigated by the police after a video went viral showing a staff member being involved with an inmate.
The video was reportedly filmed in a cell at HMP Wandsworth in south-west London.
The viral video showed the female officer engaging in activities with the male inmate.
According to the Metropolitan Police (MET), the woman was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office after officers were made aware of the video surfacing on social media.
The HM Inspectorate Of Prisons has declined to comment on the matter as they are in contact with the Ministry of Justice.
“Staff corruption is not tolerated and the former prison officer has been reported to the police”, HM prison service stated.
